In 2008, we had the opportunity to take over our parents' former farm on Kwakelweg. To ensure the preservation of this former farm, we came up with the idea of converting the old coach barn and pigsty into two luxury flats. Here, the authentic front view has been preserved, by bringing back the style of the barn doors in the facades. The so-called five-inch tiles of the original floor of the pigsty have been reused for the terrace. And the barn windows have also been given a new place. In 2017, the old haystack was demolished and rebuilt as a modern four-bed holiday home in original hexagon shape, with traditional thatched roof and heavy wooden posts. The former cowshed was converted into caravan storage years ago.

Aan de Kwakel takes its name from the high footbridge, which connects Kwakelweg to the Kerkepad Doelpad, which leads through the Commandeurspolder to the village churches of Maasland.
The three holiday homes overlooking the open polder landscape. Are located between the villages of Maasland and Schipluiden. Only 9 km from Delft, and less than 20 km from The Hague and Rotterdam city centre. And 16 km from Hoek van Holland beach. The new waterway is just 6 km away, so the South Holland islands and the port of Rotterdam are also nearby.
We would like you to enjoy the outdoors. The peace, space and beautiful wide vistas in the centuries-old polder landscape, where in spring the godwits and in winter the thousands of geese can be heard, are well worth a visit.
